the hotel is well worth the stay however i would recommend asking for the socco tower which they just opened last year. If you are plantium or diamond however you can more than likeley get a comp or free room but be warned weekends are almost impossible, ususally i go on sunday and get a room no problems but i am also diamond and book at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead. or if thats not an opt i use to stay way out in asheville or dillsboro and drive in.
there is a fairfield right across road which is expensive and then some less expensive on out into downtown example best western i use to stay at the sleep inn on the major hwy its pretty cheap and always clean and nice. if the price is too much then try a area hotel. First of all if you want to go to stay at the hotel i would recommend calling or checking on line (easier) months in advance, they have a players card program set up for gamblers, if you are gold or do not have a card then more than likeley you will either not get a room or have to pay somewhere around 150 for a night. let me first say that harrahs in cherokee does get a bad rape or at least in my opinion. I have been a long time gambler at harrahs since they opened a long time back and have stayed there many times and always have a trip or two planned.
